Governors at Oxspring School

Chairperson
Mr Neil Taylor

Vice-Chairperson
Mrs Sue Haigh

I have lived in Oxspring since 1974.

My two children attended Oxspring Primary.Unfortunately my two grandchildren live too far away for them to come here!

My background is in the retail industry helping my late husband to run a long established Barnsley based business.

Since my retirement I have worked solely in the voluntary sector and have interests in several organisations.

I am a member of our local church and a devoted Rotarian.

I am not an educationalist, but feel that our future is in the next generation and we all need to provide the environment for our children to grow and flourish in order to take on the challenges of the years to come.

That is what Oxspring Primary is all about!

Mr John Wade
Elected as school governor 8th May 1966.
A life long resident of Oxspring.
I think my most important work and contribution has been to fight and resist Oxspring School closure by the Authority Proposals on three separate occasions.
I have served on the Governor Service in the East Ward in the following areas, Green Moor, Thurgoland, Tankersley, Crane Moor, Silkstone Common, Silkstone, Cawthorne and Hazelhead.
